Recorded file size in HD

Hi there,

What is the size of files recorded from an HD source in MB/Sec ( orMB/Min).

Looking to get an Openbox for recording HD sporting events but want to know how big these files will be.

I recorded a 2 hour HD film today and it took just under 8GB, also it should be noted that it records the files into dvr format, however this can easily be converted to a more standard format using seperate software on a pc.

Many thanks....not as bad as I had thought most of my MKV movies are about that size...be interesting how far h.264 can squeeze these down from 8GB.
