    openbox s9

    hi was i have ordered the openbox s9 and would like to know if i put a usb hard drive can i record channels from the box.
    and does the hard drive have to be a certain size or model

          Maybe get a powered hard drive, some people saying not enough power from usb

              Pendrives fine its portable hard drives that have problems. I've a 16gb pendrive. Can't record too much HD content on it though

                  I have a usb powered 120Gb 2.5" HDD in an external caddy, and it works absolutely fine, but as hooley says, a mains powered drive will definitely fit the bill.

                      I have a 250gb 2.5" sata hdd . I have put this into one of those cheap usb sata enclosures sold on eBay for a few pound and it works perfectly .
