    playing back recorded program prob

    Hi, i have an openbox s10 with latest firmware, i can record to my usb caddy which as a 160gig hdd inside no probs, but when i play it back at no perticular point i get a message on screen usb device disconnected and i loose the film i am watching and so have to start again to watch it!, i have tried a different usb caddy with a different hdd in it but still the same problem!, it can be 5mins into film or 10mins 0r 30mins, any suggetions plz... thank you......

    Does your caddy have it's own power supply ? As the 5 v from the usb port may not be enough , some caddies come with double usb cable , to grab power from 2 ports , in order to supply the required voltage
    Obviously you would then need a 2nd usb port , or some kind of mains usb adapter / hub

        I have now found its all ok if you record non HD channels!! not ideal but at least i can record and watch programs i've recorded!!!!

          your lucky you can get it to see your hdd mate , i have had no luck , wont pick up any hdd i try , both usb powered and mains powered drives are not getting recognised , pen-drives are fine

            i had similar problem with dm800, wouldn;t recognize hdd, finally worked when i used a SEAGATE hdd, might be worth a try!!!!
