    Is this a clone... have read other thread in forum

    Hi Sorry about this thread I read the other explaining how to see if your S9 is a clone and it listed the codes that were valid.

    I just got my s9 and when I type "777777" into the information panel I just got 4 character not 8 I think the last 4 are meant to show you if you have a clone or not.

    the value I am seeing is just 0201.... can anyone tell me if I am doing anything wrong or how I can see the second part of the characters. I bought the box of falconsat.co.uk and they told me that it was an original.

      Hi

      What firmware you got on at moment.

      Think you may need the May firmware to be able to check with 777777.

              Hi Mast thanks for this was a little worried about installing this but bit the bullet this morning and flashed this firmware and I am getting chip id of 00D0 which looks like its valid.

              Can you recommend which firmware I should flash this box with now I see a new one came on the 17th should I try that one or go for another earlier one.

                  I put on the May one which could only be put on originals and not the clones. I did this for me sister and its been fine.

                  This was a few days before this other one came out, have heard bits and pieces in various places that maybe not worth upgrading to this one but hey you wont know till you try.

                  I have uploaded a channels list if you want to try from the May firmware, I sent it to another guy on another forum who wanted the channel list as well as the full dump and he was happy with it.

                  You could try it and leave some feedback so others know if you dont like it you can always take it off. Anyway up to you.
