Latest firmware for openbox S9 / S10

I was going to say download from the factory site but the factory site doesn't even have the support files anymore.
2-15-2012 was the last firmware

How I can rewrite the FIRMWARE name while upgrading OpenBox s10. For example want rename this firmware with adding .ABS?? ARE OPENBOX_S1O_20111409.RAR
HOW I REPLACE WITH .ABS TO RECOGNISE STB THIS FILE.

The file is compressed. You need to use a program to unzip or unrar the file. Depending on your OS, a program for doing it may be included. I use a program called IZArc.

when you download a program off the internet,most times it's in an archive to save time and space.You need a program on the computer to un-archive the files, like the previous poster mentioned.

S11 dead

My S11 suddenly died on me, tried the firmware i had, but get "set stb memory error please click back to try again", found your forum so am going to try the firmware verision i found here.

the receiver has to be off when you hit next on the loader,then you turn it on at a casual rate.

I have tried the latest firmware which i found on this forum, I have the box off when i click next on the loader, but i still get the same error message. I have tried varying the times when i switch the box on but this makes no difference.
Can anybody help me further.

New software Europe version dated 02/12/2011 for Sky/openbox S9 and S10


Software is interchangeable so it can be used both for skybox and openbox. Openbox and Skybox receiver both can be upgraded by this software.



Notice :-
S9 software can be used for both S9 and S10
S10 software is only for S10


Main improvements are the followings:
1. Add Multi-channels moving and edition function
2. When coming into the CCCAM setup, you need to edit the passwords at first
3. Optimize sharing protocols and hiding the account function
4. Add Avatar sharing plugin
5. solving the motor problem
6. add much more languages, for example: Bulgarian, Romanian



Instructions. Please read this carefully before upgrade
This firmware is not safe for clone boxes. If you don't know that your box is original or clone please check her


The first thing to do is save the downloaded firmware file (unpacked) on the root of a USB flash disk,

Plug USB disk to the back of your receiver. It will be recognized by the receiver.

1. Before upgrade, do a Factory Reset:

* Go to TOOLS menu and click on Factory Settings
* Click Yes to continue. The receiver will go to factory default and restart.

2. Upgrade Firmware:

* Click on MENU and go to TOOLS menu again
* Scroll down to "Upgrade by USB"
* Click on START
* Choose Image File[*.abs]
* After the loading is completed, Accept the upgrade.
* The receiver will restart.

3. After upgrade, do another Factory Reset:
This software will be replaced and updated as soon there is a new version.

I HAVE TRIED A LOT OF THOSE S10 FIRMWARES AND IT DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE.. IF SOMEONE HAVE A NICE FW WITH ROMANIAN LANGUAGE PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Hi, I owe a skybox s12, it's a cloned box. It is bricked or the firmware is not good in it since I tried to update the software. I have tried flashing it with at least 10 different firmware I have found online but none seem it fix it. The problem is when you turn on the box it displays boot then after just 2 dashes (--), no tv signal output or anything. I really need some advice or a point in the write direction for a good firmware for this box. Thank you.

actually it is genuine if you got the -- from loading the aug 2012 anonymousx firmware to it.
The firmware kills genuine boxes and shows --
the only fix is to load anonymousx firmware from dec 2011 or early 2012

there were 3 good ones that I know of,the 1st from dec 2011,the red gui v2 and another version that was just for s9.
the aug 2012 version was a killer for genuine boxes.
