Is it worth to buy Openbox S9

    Hello everyone here.
I have a Spiderbox and i am giving this receiver to my brother so i have decided to buy a Linux HD Receiver.
What do you think about Openbox S9? Is it worth to buy it.
I know is not like dreambox but how close is it?
What images can be used for Openbox S9?
I would like to go for a Dreambox HD original but my budget is very small so i have to go for a cheap original receiver.
    Need your suggestions guys.

Openbox doesn't have interchangeable images. Its just a plain simple HD box. No 7day epg and don't think an update will cure it cos it wont. I have an S9 it does what I want gives me HD picture without crashing.

I advice you to buy a dreambox 800HD pro or a dreambox 800HDse clone from china it's works great with a good quality.

mate you should go for a openbox s10 as its the newest out. Seeing as you are on a budget this will be ideal. I am buying one of these next week and getting rid of my kryptview

I bought the S9, it works great for me.. I use a motorised setup which means the 5000 channel limit might hinder me a bit in the future maybe, but for now its good value... I decided on the S9 because the S10 doesnt have scart sockets, I thought better to have them just incase I ever needed to use scart for some reason.. But, now I wish I'd bought the smaller sized S10, as I now realise I'll probably never ever need to use scart, and the S10 has a composite output that could be fed into a scart adaptor anyway... So, I'd say buy the S9 if you dont have a HDMI connection telly and need to use scarts, but buy the smaller neater sized S10 if you're connecting to an HD telly with HDMI and will never require scarts..

In my opinion and experimce you won't gain anything from moving to an Openbox from a Spiderbox as they are quite similar in what they can do. The SB probally has the edge as it has a gift and the PQ IMHO is better than the Openbox.

Better to move onto a DM, Clarke Tech or Vu+ if you want more functionality.

Nothing wrong with the Openbox though, very good value for money!
