have aquired a 60cm dish and was wandering if it is adequate to pick up all satellites in south wales

It depends on what satellites you want to get.

60cm dish is fine for Astra 2 that is all freeview etc stations

However, I used a 90cm motorised dish which enable me to pick up almost every satellite from 50E to 50W.

a 60cm dish with a good quality lnb should be able to get a few ofl the powerfull birds on the arc although you wont get all txp,s on some. with no l.o.s. problems you should be able to see these birds... 45e/42e/28.2e/23.5e/19.2e/13e/9e/7e/4.8e/1w/5w/22w/30w


ideally if your intentions are a motorised system then a 80/85cm should be your minimum dish size but saying that people do use smaller dishes with good results. regards mdt
