S9 Tuner Woes or Bad Server

hi,

New user for s9, had the box for about 4 months now. Some channels seem to glitch, pictures goes to scrambled then comes back, or it pixels.

I have contacted the server people who state that its maybe the s9 tuner, as its not a good box. Dont see other people on the suppliers forum openly sharing the same issues as me.

Have paid for a years sub, 50 notes.

Whats shoud I do, do I have a faulty box or is it a server issue?

i have a problem too mine comes on for a short while then goes off apart from the FTA if i shut down they come back on and so on.....this has happened since i upgraded software ive tried going back but with no joy.....

Are you using one of the wireless dongles by any chance?

its been happening to me too.... all my FTA are good.... got a test line off a site and everythhing was good then I bought a 3 month sub and it went all freezy

openbox S10 Tuner sensivity

I would now your experience with the HD DVB-S2 Sharp 7306 Tuner (integrated on the S10 Openbox).
With Astra 1H/1K/1L and Hotbird 6/8/9 results follows.
Generally Signal Strength is: 87-89%
Signal Quality: 73-76%
this give a very good picture if signal could be decoded.
HD services generally could not or only be decoded for a short time.
However I have artifacts and Image hangs but no reboots.
On rare transponders signal quality goes up to 85%.
In that case stability and image is perfect.
Case for: arte HD freq: 11361
Note: the quick scan found 2 'arte HD' (1 scrambled, 1 FTA)
Other 'majuscule' ARTE HD?s (all scrambled) could not be decoded.
I understand that I have not enough signal quality.
But I used this 90cm dish with all my previous decoders without problems (Humax 5400, Triple Dragon, Dream 500S)
In addition I installed 2 new LNB's 0.1dB noise figure.
And used a Satfinder and Decoder for fine dish alignment.
I improved marginally because the previous setup was perfect.
A defective tuner: HD DVBS2 Sharp 7306 ?

What about your signal quality considered has good?
