have some questions about these boxes

hey guys i i want to get an openbox to get FTV channels but i fail to understand how these things work and i have done research but im still confused. Do u buy the box or do u need to buy a dish too? do i need to buy a card to view free channels or will it get them. does it work with internet or does it work on its own. I would appreciate it if someone could help me and would love it more if someone could point me to the right direction after

No, you do not need to buy a card for free channels.. You do not need to use the internet capability on this box for Free channels..

If its just free UK TV channels you're after then I'd say you would be better served buying a "Freesat" receiver rather than an Openbox.. You will benefit from better ease of use and a full and proper EPG...

does any satellite dish work if i buy one to install

srry for my stupidity one last time. Does any satellite dish work or do i have to buy a special one. i live in the US. I do have a dish network from a few years ago on the roof or if not what is a possible good dish
