Clones

I have had the box a week and just started looking into it more. I was concerned it could of been a clone and after doing the Chip ID check it came back as 0D7E. Which according to the list is genuine. Is there anyway this ChipID could of been faked? AS I still have my doubts if the box i purchased is genuine.

i also got box last week, said chip id 085b which is in the genuine list but soon i flashed new firmware said your box is a clone

but with help here i got it working again

is your power cable attached at back or can take it off ?

Hi, thanks for the response. No the power cord is attached at the back and cannot be taken off. Came with a UK plug too.

i don't know how you find its a clone till you flash latest firmware , that's how i found out

Yep, you usually dont know for sure if its a clone until after upgrading... Seperate removable figure8 power lead is usually an indication the box is a clone, and apparently so is the colour of the card readers pcb viewed through grill in top cover, if its green instead of brown then you probably have a clone..

I would say you have a genuine box.

buy from a genuine uk dealer.I got my 1st from China and it had a detached power cable,green card reader but also a genuine chip ID but was a clone.I then bought from a uk company and it has a attached cable but still a green card reader but has upgraded to new firmware.

i got 2 here genuine not clones plus he puts latest filmware and uk chanel list www.satboxes.com might be a fiver dearer but any probs and he sorts them
