Openbox s10 or Orton HD x40?

    Hi guys,
I'm about to order a new sat receiver today (I currently have a DM500s), but I'm unsure whether to go for the Openbox S10 or the Orton HD x40... the only reason I'm considering the Orton is the fact that it has a scart (May be useful)... But I'm concerned about support for it because I'm a newbie and not very savvy with all this!!! Any advice is REALLY appreciated!!!
    Thanks in advance

I dont know much about the Orton, suppose it might be similar to Openbox, but I think more people use Openbox, so maybe better support with the Openbox... You could consider an Openbox S9, identical to S10 features & performance, the S9 is just a bit bigger & has scart sockets... I bought the S9 thinking I'd rather have a box with scart incase I ever need them, however now I wish I had bought the slimmer S10, cause I realise now I'll probably never use scart again..

Cheers mate, the only reason I want the scart is because I have one of those wireless video senders to send the signal to other rooms and it uses scart!

There is also the Openbox s11 and that has a scart connection, it's basically the same as the S10 but with a scart.

The Orton x403P has a variety of different firmwares you can use and also more importantly no clone problems. Support is easily found just use google. I just got one for only ?56 from Ali and that included delivery.

have to agree with hooper orton x4 hd great box had mine for about 3 months cost just over ?60 when purchased loads of firmware out there included modded just have to google abit to find it
also no clone problems faster processer at 396mhz in orton to 300mhz in orton also orton allows you to connect to nasscamnd and avatarcamnd servers for trial periods free of charge also scart and hdmi output at same time so scart to video hdmi to tv if you want
both boxes offer value for money as an entry level hd box but do not expect it to have the features of a dreambox but for a client box to watch tv there fine and honestly the orton runs my lines better than my spiderbox ever did and channel change is a heck of a lot faster than the spiderbox as well
