    Which LNB Frequency?? Openbox S10

Recently bought an openbox which is original and not clone. (Have checked). The problem I have is that I am missing quite a few channels. If I change the lnb frequency from Universal (9750-10600) to just 9750 I get a lot of the missing channels back and then missing a handfill of the others that I rec'd on Universal. Dish is a couple of years old which is running 2 other S*y HD boxes and these work fine. I can't find the frequency that will give me the best of both worlds. Or am I missing the whole point??
    Any help would be appreciated..

This is just a suggestion and I'm not sure even if it is possible.
Do a scan on 9750 and another scan on 10600.

      Hi
Have you found a solution to this problem??
I have setup few Openbox S10, and some get all channels while others do have a problem with few (same channels everybody are having problems with), i think this has something to do with Openbox vs LNB handling, so i googled and saw a thread where someone is having the same problem, he replaced his LNB and everything worked from then.

Haven't tested this out but would be good to hear from people with same issue out there if they have solved this and how, as this seems to be pretty common problem.

        I think you are right
I have just put in a sloping amp on the line today (closer to the box) and while some of the channels are now available others are now gone. So maybe the answer would be a new lnb. Strangely though I don't get a signal on 9750 so have left it on Universal (9750-10600) as suggested.
One thing I don't understand is that all can be working well and then I will change channel and the dreaded No Signal appears. So then a reboot and is ok sortof.
One thing I wanted to know was that should the box always show boot on the display even when switching on from the remote (or is this the dreaded boot cycle)

I bought 3 S9 boxes about three weeks ago. One out of the three refused to receive the higher frequency vertical polarised transponders (e.g. Sly News 12207 V). I upgraded, downgraded the firmware, upgraded the coax, added a in-line amplifier. None of it made any difference. In the end I sent it back to the supplier. I received the replacement on Monday and it works just as it should with no problems at all.

Just to update, I replaced the dish and lnb and then all the channels were their. After about an hour all the channels disappeared. Did a factory restore and loaded the firmware again
Channels started to work and all was ok all evening. I still think maybe it has something to do with the s*y boxes. As when the openbox is working 1 sky box will show satellitte signal is not being received. Is this openbox faulty, I can't see how it can be as even with the old dish it worked without a problem for a few days.
I'm totally lost and can not find any logic.
On the firmware should I be using the S*ybox firmware or the openbox one. One strange thing I noticed was that on 1 channel it was showing a diffferent channel but after powering off and then on it worked fine.
Also I don't have an issued with particular transponders
            Confused....

If you are using a single LNB with cable splitted to both boxes than you will end up having this trouble having both boxes turned on ath the same time.

Hence why I asked how many outputs he's got on his LNB, but he aint responded so... oh well..

                    Sorry been away this week
I have a quad band lnb and it is running 3 boxes
Looking at it it seems that I am missing channels higher up the frequency range
Tried to contact supplier and he is ignoring the emails so no joy there
I am thinking that the cable that has been used may need to be upgraded to a better quality item as it is from the old s*y plus box
                    Any thoughts??

Does any friend of yours have a sky setup? Would be interesting if you could test the box at diff place, just to check if the box is faulty or not.
