Are you filling up your pendrive, is that why you can only record 2 hours? If its HD recording then they do take a lot of space... I have noticed the recordings are always split into 1gb segments, I just suppose thats the way it is.. Playback mode on the box will play the recordings seamlessly, regardless of how many segments it has split the recording into...

Then Ive no idea why the box might stop recording after 2 hours, hmmm, Ive never tried recording anything for that long myself.. So it just stops recording without any user intervention even if there's still enough storage space, I guess its just another little bug with these cheap n cheerful HD boxes then Or, heres an idea, is your pen drive fat32, could it be something as bizarre as, the box seeing your Pen drive formatted as FAT32, and even though it segments the recording, it stupidly still limits the total recording size to 4gb, to stay within the fat32 file size limit, even though its splitting the recording up anyway...

In the timer section (menu item) there is a default value of 2 hours for record. You could try changing this to bigger number.
          i hope this helps

Try formatting the usb from the menu.

recording has a 2 hour time limit, even with the usb formatted to ntfs.fat32 traditionally has a 4gig file size limit.Another irritant,on a 2hour recording the .fs files are split into 3 files, not just 1.

you can change the limit when it comes on screen, i did it on mine other day and recorded for 3 n alf hours, not got hd plugged in now so can't give you an exact description on how to do it.. i noticed that, it splits it up into 40 - 45 min sections..
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

That may depend on the firmware version you are running.
I just tried and couldn't get more than 2hours.

oh right, i use 14/09/11 i just press record a blue box shows it as recording then press record again an a box in middle of the screen says 02.00hrs, i can press arrow left and change each number to what ever i want.
it's the same if setting timer record, i can scroll down and change the record length.
