    Hay guys just bought a s10

    Hay guys I just bought a couple of S10 both stuck with the on. So after looking around it look's like its software fult now I looked around but cant find the fix file on this site. so just wonted to ask where do i need to look ?. All so do I need a pc to reflash the s10 or can I use my macbook ?

    All so on a side note are the usb to null cables any good or would you just use a null - null cable thanks a lot guys

    Not sure about mac, after reading about i find xp or older work best with null - null.
    hope ya sort them out

        even on vista or win7 ya can give it a try for nowt, you have nothing to loose , the problem was connecting to the box and it not finding it on the ports. some say they had to try it time and time again b4 it actually worked, where-as on xp it work straight away, personnally i found problem flashing blackberry on win7 as it wouldnt find it on ports, but when i plugged it into xp it flashed it without a problem

          I had no problem flashing my box with rs232 null modem cable on Windows 7 ... I think its the USB Null modem cables that give people the most difficulties..

            USB to Serial adaptors work well with Windows 7 as londg as you have the correct drivers and select the correct port number.

              hay guys good news box's will be with me on monday bad news is there at the depo that 2 min from my house and i was told i had to hold on till monday gutted .

              My friend got a old xp computer with a null port on the back so going to use that.

              Question do i need a tv to do this with or can I do it with out one. As my friends pc is in a shop but no tv there

                You dont need a tv to flash if you know the image is fine. When you plug in at home all should be good.

                  I dont know what image will be on it m8 as its all in a zip file im on mac so when I open it i cant do anything with file's as there for pc.

                        So guys how will i know if the box is up and running as I say no tv so will it show up on the front of the box that its on or like channel numbers ?

                          Hay guys my one box is working fine but the chip id is 10AA so is this a clone ?. i cant work it out

                            you need to install the f/w to check if it is a clone or not.. read the instructions on the forum ere, http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-clone-205696/

                              i have an openbox s10 HD but it has a lock code on to access the menu. the default wont work, any chance i can overcome this problem?
