If you have a Clone Box
I have it on good authority that the best firmware for your Clone Box is
March 2011 Firmware: - 25/03/2011
CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs

Audio Sync problems apparently resolved in this release, and rebooting problems not as bad.
Its totally clone safe, it will not brick your clone, it does not contain clone killer code.
It will change your boot logo from "Openbox" to a flashier looking "Skybox" logo
Its ok to use this firmware on either the S9 or the S10

So if you're frustrated with your clone box running on its factory firmware, give this a go..
Always system dump your original firmware before upgrading, just in case.
Then it is also a good idea to factory default your box before flashing the upgrade.

ok i have loaded the new firmware on my stuck on box after it burn's the box just turns off no life to it. Turn box on and get stuck on agine so no good for me

i have serval openbox s9 clone which all run the latest firmware
in order to update a clone box
first you have to do a factory reset (this gets rid of everything on your box so save what you want)
then update you box via usb update (as you would normally)
then put your details back in e.g sat 28.2, favourite list, tv line etc
this worked for me all the time i have restarted each box 20 times so i dont brick it (been told after 15 times of restarting each box they will be killec/brick)
i hvae put the latest firmware in download section at the top

Why not just leave the receiver on all the time?
As long as it doesn't reboot 10x,you should be fine.
I never turn my receiver off,just the tv.

i also just updated with the latest firmware from october 2011. Now it has shown. " You have clone". After that it turned itself off and cannot be turned on again. It just does not react to anything. switched on and off - but same. Any ideas?? Or how I can get back to the old firmware.

So does this all mean if I somehow have a clone box which is on factory firmware and has done <10 reboots so far, I can simply do:

1) Factory reset
2) Dump existing firmware to USB
3) Load March 2011 Firmware: - 25/03/2011
CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs via USb
4) Reboot machine 20 times to make sure it is safe from being bricked?

I don't mind staying on a slightly old firmware if this means no more hassle to rescue down the serial port path...
