yes,it's a full 4meg load that overwrites everything.
Backup first with usb or rs232 or lan,then load new firmware.

If you have a Clone Box
I have it on good authority that the best firmware for your Clone Box is

CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs

Audio Sync problems apparently resolved in this release, and rebooting problems not as bad.
Its totally clone safe, it will not brick your clone, it does not contain clone killer code.
It will change your boot logo from "Openbox" to a flashier looking "Skybox" logo
Its ok to use this firmware on either the S9 or the S10

So if you're frustrated with your clone box running on its factory firmware, give this a go..
Always system dump your original firmware before upgrading, just in case.
Then it is also a good idea to factory default your box before flashing the upgrade.

I got my s10 from techkers and it's been running septemer firmware since i installed it last october. But if you are worried it maybe a clone and not sure how to check it then the newest uptodate clonesafe firmware is available here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ymousx-253796/

Hi all,
I seem to have bricked my openboxs10. Here is what I have done so far.
-Upgraded via usb without taking backup first. Bad move!
-When it was finished I got a 'this is a clone' message.
-When i rebooted there is nothing on screen and 'On' is displayed on front of openbox.
-I have now tried the two firmwares for clones using 'STB EROM Upgrade' tool via null modem cable.
1). CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs this firmware gave me the same 'on' display with no output to tv
2).HDS2_Openbox_by_anonymouSX_V2_New_Red_GUI.abs this has gotten further with the skybox boot image appearing on tv but it seems to be stuck. it comes on to display 'on' then '6000' then goes to number 4 which is CANAL + HD. Neither the remote or front menu buttons work.


Any suggestions???

It is the Clone Safe by anonymouSX posted on this site. I have it running on a number of boxes without any problems.

The file I uploaded is from my box and was dumped from the box with the UK 28.2 channel file embedded. Upload it to your box and all the settings are done for the UK.

hi mate,i flashed your dump onto my orignal s10 and was working brill,after a few reboots the box deceides not to power on,no power whatsoever,i just send it back for a replacement,iv received a new box today and flashed your dump again as i cant get my head around this openbox s10 and all is great,im just scared if i reboot a few times it will brick again,is this possible? or was my box just faulty? cheers mate

There is no problems with this firmware. It is the Anonymus one but it has 28.2 list with all channels to make your box Plug n Play, No need to scan for UK channels.
