Openbox Clone Safe Firmware

thanks so much mate,now I will reboot it if needed ,il report back if anything happens ,ohh and thanks for ur dump,this will give me a chance to try learn about this box while the misses watches tv,thank again

So does this all mean if I somehow have a clone box which is on factory firmware and has done <10 reboots so far, I can simply do:

1) Factory reset
2) Dump existing firmware to USB
3) Load March 2011 Firmware: - 25/03/2011
CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs via USb
4) Reboot machine 20 times to make sure it is safe from being bricked?

I don't mind staying on a slightly old firmware if this means no more hassle to rescue down the serial port path...

why should i do this steps and restat 20 time

Because after 10 times reboot if clone can be bricked.

so if i have a clone and turn it off 10 times, it wont come back on??

also putting this f/w on the box will allow you to turn the box off +10 times?

i turn my plugs off at night when going to bed you see and ill be pissed if it bricks

Has anyone tried this firmware on s12 does it sort out the booting from cold problem ive got a s12 not sure how to tell if its clone or not

It works fine on a s12, I don't know if it sorts out the problem you described though

Looking for another firmware to flash my Openbox S10 with and what I understand is that this should be the best version "March 2011 Firmware: - 25/03/2011
CONM_CHDS2_CMT_SkyBox.abs." or should I go with another?

I flashed this onto my clone S9 and got greyed out menu's.

Although I had tried the Anonymous S9 firmware previously which had major audio sync issues and I'm not sure if I reset back to defaults before trying the 25/03/2012 firmware...

I'll have to check it out tonight and see if that was the problem.
