all boards green=clone?

i have an s10 trying to find out if clone or not i have a genuine chip id but i took the top cover off and all the boards are green some say this = clone please any help welcome

Unfortunately you cant be 100% sure untill you upgrade, then the chip ID changes and gives proper indication.. Is you power lead a detachable firgure8 lead, or is it hard wired into the box?

mine is two pin i phoned around a few dealers and they said they all come two pin then sometimes they put a hard wired 3 pin on when they come to the uk

That sounds like proverbial hairy balls to me...

My pcbs are brown, the cable is hard wired, my box is original.. Try and upgrade with a firmware dated before June 2011 as those will not have the clone killer code in them, so no risk... After upgrade you should get proper chip ID to identify...

anyone got a picture of the insides of there box that has had the most recent firmware put on it thats the only way to go i think thanks

You still wont be able to tell from looking at photos of innards, even Original boxes can appear slightly different internally depending when they were manufactured.. I'd hazard at a guess that yours is probably a clone, because of the type of power lead you have..

Like I said before, find a pre June 2011 clone safe firmware and upgrade, then check the chip ID... Or, even if it is a clone, if it all works ok for you then do you really need to upgrade anyway?

it came with c2hs2-11-06-30

it came with this firmware on it c2hs2-11-06-30:02d9cm could it run this firmware if it was a clone? also i traced the mac on it still none the wiser thanks

My supplier has always sent genuine non clones, my last batch are with detachable power cable, fig of 8 connection, yet supplier insists they genuine, so maybe non hardwired doesn't necessarily mean clone!

i checked my mac address to shenzen dvb world do they make clones as i said in my post before all my boards are greeen looked at a few youtube videos of the s10 few small things like small green light where the clock is mine doesnot have void sticker not the same etc

The only real way to tell is to backup your software and apply the newer version, if after ten reboots you are still working then you have a genuine box.

I have two genuine units, both have completely different boards and only one of them had a warranty sticker...there seems to be no consistency with them.

Is mine a clone?

The boards are green and the CCID is 9593000
and the version is CHDS2-11-05-04-0077CMT
Does anyone know if this is a clone or the real thing
