Which software are you trying to put on it, if you start again try downloading a different version of f/w. (Dont forget the clone will bugger up with new f/w so i would check that too) Format your usb, back up your original f/w to usb and save it on computer; incase you ever need it again.. then try to install new f/w
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

The firmware you're downloading, is it actually a rar archive that you have yet to extract?

The firmware when compressed in a rar archive is about 1.5mb, when extracted the actual firmware file will be about 4mb, the 4mb file is what you upload into the box..

make sure it looks like this OPENBOX_S9_110915.abs
It could be that your usb device isn't compatable with the box. somtimes they do seem picky as to what devices they recognise.. if you can try a different usb dongle
Failing that, only option maybe hooking up to the computer or lan..

This is the thing I have dumped the image from the box to the usb drive no problem and the box can see it no problem. I can load the update no problem but after you hit update and pic file it starts at 0 ends at 100% then comes up with invalid file as you say i can just get it on xp and flash it but dont really wont to do it like that how would i do it with lan ?

Ok, ermmm, try this, before flashing the firmware upgrade, first restore factory defaults on the box, it will free up memory slots to take & process the upgrade file...

You could also try an older / other version of the flash file........just a thought as I had similar issues on my S10 a couple of months back

If i recall correctly, I had to use a version from May / June in order to get it working correctly - havent had an issue since
