S10 Clone ??? & Virmin Superhub ?

Hi,

Just got a Openbox S10 (clone i think) & I can't get it to work with my VM Superhub.
OK, i have a cline & a test cline that both work on my S9 & VM Superhub. The S10 says Offline for both clines.
the guy I got it from has told me he set it up (channels list) and it was working his end (he is going to exchange it) but has said not to change the firmware (came with chds2-11-05-24:04ccc) as there are so many out (my reasoning for thinking its a clone) but not too bothered if it works.
Any how is anybody using a S10 & VM Superhub ?
Any ideas what could be the problem ?
As I would like to see if I could get it working before taking it back (cheapskate and don't want to use the petrol )

The S10 should work just the same on your network as your S9, its practically same hardware & firmware.. Sounds like you might have a clone looking at the release date of it (pre clone killer firmware) and the fact he says dont update it..

Make sure the S10 network settings are DHCP, cause maybe your seller set a static IP for his network.. Also, are you trying to use the same clines on both boxes at the same time, as that wont normally work as they usually allow one login at a time..

Thanks for your reply.
No i was'nt useing the clines on both box's at the same time.
I tryed it with DHCP both On & Off and set the IP myself and it still will not connect. I'am 99.9% sure its a clone.
But as he's offered to exchange I don't want to try a differant firmware incase something goes wrong.
He has said he has VM 10mb but with the older modem
(I have 30mb with the Superhub) which is why I have asked on this and other forums just incase others have had any simular problems.

If your S9 is working ok then there is nothing wrong with your Network or Modem/Router settings, your S10 should work just the same, as they are basically the same..

Sounds like your S10 needs replacing really..

You have activated the c-line right?
Activate (I think) then exit, it should temporarily say something as it rights the file to flash memory

Or you could dump your working line to USB and upload to new box via USB

Hi, i have a clone Openbox S10, but its on normal modem works fine been fine over 5 months no issues, as long i dont update firmware does the job and at very low price,

if he letting you exchange thats kool try another seems fair

will be taking it back for an exchange.
southpaw clines both work on S9, but both say offline on S10.
My modems been rebooted that many times its dizzy
I've tryed 7 RJ45 cables aswell, so i
Fingers crossed the exchanged one works but now he's said I can have a refund if I want.
Tempted as I'd hate for the replacement to be the same,
but as its only for my PJ and only used once or twice a week good movie or footie match a clone is perfect really
