Hd picture question

Just a quick one. Thinking of getting a s10, but I was wondering, I want the premier league hd channel on 1west, but I'm not gonna use a hdmi because my tv isn't hd, can I still view this channel? I know it won't be in hd I just wanna watch it? I have a technomate gold 0.1 lnb?

Can I still watch the channel in 480i?

All the HD channels will output via the Composite output on an S10 in 480i, but why dont you get an S9 instead, they have Scart outputs, which will give you a better quality RGB output rather than crappy Composite video..

Right I see, might aswell I guess. I haven't really done any reading on s9, but I'm guessing the set is the same as 10? Got a dm500 right now but need a hd box.

The S9 is practically identical in hardware, performance & functionality, the S9 is just a slightly bit fatter, but it does have 2x scart sockets on the back..

Yeah so I've seen. Which one should I look out for to see If it's a clone?

You can get both S9 and S10 clones... I think the only way you can 100% be sure to not buy a clone is to find a seller who is selling them with latest firmware upgrade already installed before shipping it to you..

If your dish is aligned to the satellite correctly then you'll get the HD channels, any universal LNB will do just fine, even a cheapy cheapo make will be just fine.

Better still get a s11, with both hdmi and scart.


Probably less chance of getting a clone compared to a s9 and s10.
