what makes you think you "bricked" it ? did you do something that rendered it inoperable? Or could it be a component (psu) failure that has it remaining in standby..? Did it just stop working?

Thanks Nibblitz need help to work out what went wrong please. I switched my s9 off and disconnected it to try my friends box out for him, when I connected my own box back up it would not come off of standby, I managed to re flash the box and get it going again but when I disconnected the power to relocate it it was dead again, got the same problem if you have to reboot to upgrade it just goes back to standby mode. Anybody any ideas/support please, can you buy a new psu if thats what is needed

      thanks to all

Update on my openbox problem. Managed to flash the firmware and get the box up and running again only problem is that you cannot switch it onto standby or off ,if you dare it will maybe not start/boot again (a hit or a miss box) and your then back to a dead box , anyone any ideas what could be wrong with the box, all functions working as they should once running and very stable..

        Thanks guys

          helo

just a thought but it may be a loose power cable on the inside of the box, when you move the box you may dislodge it but when you put the box back down it makes a connection?
