Help my Openbox USALS motor control does not work. if I want to go to 5w, it goes to 30E. How to reset?

did you set the dish up correctly and have the motor all set up right beforehand?

just have a quick read and see if you missed anything.If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

Yes I did set the dish up correctly, I had it working before but I started experimenting with go to x function and I messed it up and I cannot get the USALS function to work. I replaced the motor several times but it is not the motor. I did a factory reset, reloaded previous Dump versions and still the same.Comment

Are your coordinates (longitude/latitute) inserted correctly? Usually the motor has that behaviour when the coordinates are inserted incorrectly.Comment

Yes The coordinate are correct I had everything working before but after I played wit the Go to X function and did recalculate, I could no longer make the USALS function to work correctly.Comment

check the motor, it should have a reset button on it to reset usalsIf it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!Comment

I have tried several new motors the result is the same. I think the openbox must have a constant. when I go to limit setup and specify go to to refernce it goes to zero on the motor but when I specify in the satellite table say 5 west it goes to 30 east on the motor instead of 5 west.Last edited by JFADHAM; 5 December, 2011, 16:52.Comment

How about Factory reset box then enter Log & Lat again, set all sats Usals..Comment

i did a factory reset after i everything is fine now so i stand by that saying if it aint broke dont try fixin it ,,,,,,,,i cannot get my test cline to work does it connect automaticly when i hook up my internet or do i have to change any settings on my openboxComment
