Motorised Openbox NOT showing all Sat's ???

    Hi all,

    I have just setup a 1m dish & a TM-2600 motor with a Openbox.
Its pulling in about 11 sat's (only had a quick shot at it)
But in the Sat list its showing 3.0 to 75 E but only 0.8/1 to 15 W. Its on Usals not diseq 1.2
How can i get it to show the rest on the West ?
I'm NOT getting all on the East i mean no signal on 16, 26 and nothing after 28.2 but i think this might be a line of sight issue as i get 0.8/1 W then either 4 or 4.3 then nothing until 15 W. Its setup on a south facing wall about 3ft above a single storey extension (purely for ease of access for tweaking it) will have a proper look over the weekend, might have to move it higher up. I'am getting a signal strenght of 85/89 and quality 75/78 for most sat's / transponders.
Will i need to tweak my set up for better signal ?
Also when i set it up i set the lat on the motor but have just read on another forum someone mentioned the dish bracket angle ?(22/23) i have'nt set this, do i need to ?

All and any help / advice will be greatfully received.
This is the first time i have installed a dish.

The main thing thought is getting the missing sat's to the West.

    Thanks.

If the dish can see the sky then moving it up higher wont make a difference, unless trees or other buildings are in line of sight. When you put it up, did you make sure your pole mount was absolutely perfectly plumb level? Is your dish mounted using T&K brackets? Did you mount and aim the dish south, did you then put your log and lat in the openbox settings, did you then drive dish to 0.8w with usals, then tweak the dish alignment until you got 0.8w coming in perfectly?

      sat list

the sat list in the receiver has to match where you live.Mine had a euro list and I had to search around to find one that was closer to home.Even then I had to enter sat info manually for sats not on the list.
Be careful,I did that the first day I had the receiver and I killed the receiver.I had to recover via rs232 loader.

        Hi, thanks for your reply.
I did everything you have said bar the tweaking at 0.8w
and yes there are trees around(my reason for thinking its a line of sight problem) but i was unaware they would poss a problem. the dish is mounted with one of those L shaped mounts & yes it is 100% plumb. as i said it was only a quick go at it will takle it over the weekend. I got it off of ebay, the guy demo'd it to show it worked, it was for my cinema room, when i first tried it after the installation i had no power going to the motor & it was then dark so had to wait until the next morning. Tried it with the sky dish cable and this was fine & was how i got it to where i'am now.
problem must be the cable in the cinema room which is joined and connected to a wall socket & the sky dish is a 10m cable straight from dish to receiver. i now have a new 10m cable to use at the weekend.
