    LNB sensitivity

Just thought I would post my findings after spending a few hours up on my roof in the freezing cold last night, the Openbox really does not like sharing an LNB, I used mutliple LNB's for testing, quad/octo sky old/new zinwells & invacoms, all of my channels come in with 83% and 75% when the Openbox has exclusive access to all of my LNBS. Once you start adding additional connections the Openbox becomes fussy, the most simultaneous connections the Openbox would maintain signal with on one of the difficult channels (12324 V 29500) is 3, however only 1 of the other boxes can be powered on at the same time, powering both on results in the no signal error, I have ordered an inline signal amp and will conduct further testing once it arrives.

Hopefully this will help someone else with the same "no signal problem" when multiple boxes are connected to the LNB, the fact that the Openbox sees all the channels when only it is connected to the LNB, shows that the Openbox is working correctly, it would seem that the tuner is sensitive to the voltage drop across the LNB connectors when multiple receivers are connected

    cables

1 coax cable per receiver right?
A dual or quad output lnb should work fine with any receiver.

Yeah just to confirm all cables are separate no shared connections, and occurs on all LNBs same cables were running 2 hd sly boxes a plus box and 2 standard boxes I have checked all f-connectors also does not matter on which cables I use, once I get to 2 additional powered receivers the no signal issue appears

TRY GOING TO INSTALLATION/ ANTENNA SETUP AND CHOOSE UNIVERSAL 97-50-10600.

i treid diff config and all hd channels were scambled or no signal. tried this setting and all back on.

LNB setup in antenna setup is set to universal 9750-10600, receiver receives all channels if only 1 additional powered on receiver is connected to same LNB

As promised I said I would report back once I had fitted inline signal amp, happy to report that this has sorted the no signal issue when connecting multiple receivers to the LNB, tested all my LNB's again with sloping signal amp 13-18db and all now work without the no signal issue when lots of receivers are running from the same LNB

              ground

That would also give you an extra grounding path.I would try adding a grounding block where the cables come into the house.
