    openbox s10

Hi, i am from Norway :-)
I got my openbox s10, and i see it will not work in my network(lan).Tried DHCP and static. It seems like a clone, because the ID Chip is 1466. Any ideas to fix this?

And...someone have a link to where i can find "safe" firmware for a clone ?

    Thanks

    This firmware works:

You have to use a null modem cable to recover the box. These days people doesnt have those kind of things laying around. dx or ebay will probably get you a null modem cable if you dont have one. You also need a computer that has a serial port. The best is to have laying around a old windows computer with ex win95 and comport that is com1. Always works!

The way you do this is detailed here:

However I'm in the same boat as well. Need to get a newer firmware that works for a clone. If that dosn't work out, I'll soon grab that box and trow it as long as possible out of the window. The next box will NOT be a openbox/skybox.

Most likely it will be a Dm800HD v2 with pli-images. MUCH better that this openbox crap.

Yesss. That's what I'm talking about. Guys, those craps are good for nothing. I have also an postbox but, the dust lay on it since the second day since I've received it. Now I use dreambox dm500s be and is 1000 times more stable and accurate.
