    s11 No Signal

    Hello peeps

I have an openbox s11 and certain channels have 5% snr

I am using a communal dish

However those channels work perfectly with my m8s openbox
    s9 showing 75% snr

Any suggestions to why this is the case?

Does the s11 have a weaker tuner?

Do i need to purchase a in-line sat signal amplifier booster?

    Thanks in advance

Is it an old channel list you're using? Maybe the frequencies have changed.. Is your LNB setting set correctly, Universal and widest band..

I am using 28.2e lnb freq- universal with motor type off

I done a channels scan and the communal dish pickd up 800 channels

Also i took that s11 openbox to my friends house who has a normal sky uk minidish and every channel works ith 75% snr

is the lnb freq meant to be universal (9750-10600)

Maybe i should try to delete all channels and do a fresh blind scan

Your lnb setting is fine... From what you describe your s11 maybe has an iffy tuner, seems to be a few people have similar issues with them s11's, I think Ive read some of them say that fitting an inline sloping amp cures their probs... If it was me, I'd declare the box faulty, send the thing back and get a replacement or refund..

However all those on the s11 worked fine at my m8s house who has a sky uk minidish so it cant really be the tuner

Ill try the amp booster, maybe the s11 tuner isnt as sensitive as the s9 tuner therefore struggling with the communal dish

But you also said his box picks up all the channels on your dish, so the only difference is your box, or more spefically the tuner in your box..

Like I said though, I myself wouldnt be happy to have to buy additonal gizmos to make a box function as intended when other boxes work fine, it bumps the purchase price up, and it would leave me thinking just how long is this iffy weak substandard tuner actually going to last anyway.. I would get rid, replace or refund..

But as you want to keep it then lets hope the inline amp helps you out..
