    S10 acting strange??

I sold a openbox s10 and before i sold it i switched it on and changed a few settings such as parental control and made sure it was working etc.
Then i put it back in box and drive it to customers house to install then as i plug it in nothing i try a different socket but nothing i start filling up red by now after telling him it was working at mine.

Then i try a different socket in a different room by now im like totally embarrassed. I take it home to test and dead. R.I.P

I have noticed this happen once before but decided to work after i tried a few times but this box was DOA..

Anyone have any suggestions or why they do this?? Also my boxes are genuine too

Poor rocker switch on back or fuse in box maybe. The worst could be your psu.

Oh i forgot to mention when i tried to turn on it had like a faint 0 on the front display like always before it say boot.
But it doesn't get to boot just a faint 0. Also the 2 Ethernet lights are flashing on the back?? Its as if it did not wan't to boot?? Strange..

Im replacing anyway just wanted to know what caused this. I drove quite far and it was on car floor i was thinking could vibration make a wire come loose or something inside i dunno..

        rs232

I would see if the rs232 port still works to accept firmware via rs232 loader.
The first day I got mine I had the dreaded "ON" until I cycled power with the switch in the back. Then the display was completely dark. The rs232 still showed life so I loaded firmware with that to get it going again.

i had the same problem with a box i bought switched it on set it up switched it back on and there was a faint pop out of the s10 and it would not power on i contacted the company i bought it from and they said i could send it back or they would send me a power supply which i received next day it is an easy fix undo a few screws and replace once done it powered up straight away and is still working looks like there could be a bad batch of power supplies out there

This is strange i set it all up so it was working before i went customers. Then got to cust and it would not boot up but had power lights above ethernet port so must of been getting some power. Then i take it home and still the same.
I take it to my dealer and it works first time at his house?? and even after a few times. Very Strange indeed???

This should be a case for the

Thats what i was thinking maybe a loose wire inside touching connector then not touching after car vibrations.
I though they be well made because there genuine boxes I get.

Mind you it was on the floor of car for 45 minute journey
