No difference really, all really the same box, by the time you buy one, the s12 will be out!

If u want alot of hassle, then buy the openbox. my advice is, dont. if u can stretch your budget, then buy something else, like a Blade, Dreambox

Same here. I have had an oddball with a bad tuner but overall the boxes are good value for what you pay. Picture quality is good and all can be up and running with a one year sub for around a ton.

Openbox is quite capable little HD receiver, it does what it does with out much faff.. Its true the Blade & Dreamboxes are more capable machines, but if all you want to do is watch HD TV channels then the Openbox can do that, and they're half the price..

Theres always going to some people who unfortunately end up with an openbox that has niggly little faults, usually because its faulty, but they wrongly assume everybody elses box must be the same.. What I fail to understand is why these people cant accept they have a faulty box and simply return them to their seller, rather than think their only fix is to do things like change LNB's countless times, or fit fans insde their box to cool it down, or buy inline amps to help the (faulty) tuner...

That said, it seems to me that the most reliable and least problematic openbox (going from what Ive read on forums) would be the S9 .. I can only guess thats maybe because there were loads more clones made of S10's or S11's than there ever was of S9 boxes, or simply that more S10's and S11's have been sold than S9's..

But, whatever, loads of people have faultless Openboxes working just fine.. Just dont buy a clone, and just dont put up with it if it so much as gives any slightest hint it might be a duff one you've ended up with..

ive just picked up an s10 myself ellis, its not in dreambox league by a long chalk, but it is a good cheap hd box, sealions go in nice and easy, lack of a channel editor along the lines of dbedit is a bit of a bugbear for me, but thats all that i have found wrong with it so far
