    which openbox to get

    my friend is looking to get a openbox
    which one should he get as ive got a s9 but there are newer ones out now
    so which one should he get and why also best firmware for them too

    i would recommend the s10, nice little box. I think the s10/11/12 are pretty similar but yeah s10 is my choice

        im new to sat
        cable was my thing,until nag 3
        thinking of getting a sat set up and ive been recommended to go for an openbox,,whats the difference between these and dreambox and all the others available ? what sort of cost would i be looking at for a basic set up ? or should i spend a little more and get something a bit better
        any info much appreciated

          the most basic set up.. 2nd hand sly minidish.. ?5 ish
          openbox ?60 ish
          coax, cable clips mount for dish.. 10-15 ish

          the difference between openbox and dreambox is that the openbox is simply a hd pvr for watching telly, no more no less, the dreambox is capable of so much more.. granted the hd version is more or less twice the price of the openbox, but it does so much more

            maybe its a dreambox i should go for
            ,i know what im like,,,if i go for an openbox, once i get my head round it and realise i could of got something else that does more i would be pished off,,off to dreambox thread

              I needed composite output so I went with the s10.
              s9 is obsolete.
