    Openbox S9 USB slot not working.

    Guys have an Openbox S9 here and I'm trying to update the channels list using the USB slot on the back.

    When I plug the USB flash drive into it, instead of the box recognizing it and allowing me to proceed with the upgrading process the light on my USB flash drive just keeps blinking and I'm unable to complete the upgrade.

    I think the USB slot is Fubar but I was wondering if any one else has came across this problem and if so how did they resolve it.

    I was able to update to the firmware using the rs232 connector.

    Is there any other way to get the channels list onto the box?.

    Thanks

            in my experience of using it, i had to go to network setting and turn off dhcp then it would connect, also it will gve you the ip address of the box there

            Also, did you try format your usb dongle doofa to fat32

              I've just tried using the PVR800 channel editor to do it but it keeps downloading the channel list as a default channel list resulting in a nochl message on the LCD display.

              Have exported it as a User list and renamed to .abs but it still downloads it as a default.

                STBHD_LAN can't connect to the openbox, using enternet cable from hub to box, dhcp is off and I've put the box's ip into the STBHD_LAN.

                Just keeps saying that it can not connect.

                      Yep I hit apply when turning off dchp, the box's ip is 192.168.000.013.

                      Read on the web that it can connect using null modem lead as well, well tried that and it still won't connect.

                      ~~~~ing pissing me off.
                      EDIT: FINALLY GOT IT WORKING, Changed the 013 to 13 connected no problems, uploaded channel list and all is working as it should channel wise.
                      BIG Thanks to everyone that help tonight
                          userdb
                          there was a set of programs to split the tp_prog.dbs into .rom and .udf files.Then you could load the userdb.udf with the regular rs232 loader.The channel editor accepts and saves .udf files.Remember to select user database instead of default db.
