RE: Check if my openbox S10 firmware and if it's a clone

Hi guys, so i bought an openbox s10 from ebay, dum dum me I know, and i just want to make sure if I have a clone box or not. I can't verify the firmware so I am attaching a picture just in case if I need to update first then try the instruction by pressing 8888 to view chip ID. Thanks guys.

    modernize

you have to update with more modern firmware then finger the remote for the id.
That firmware is older than the hills.
I think they recommend pre-clone kill firmware like from june 2011.As always back up your firmware 100% before loading anything. When you do load firmware, make sure you tick the include bootloader or you will be posting in the bricked my s10 thread.
That is s9 firmware btw on it now.

#i expect that it is cos reboots constantly when try to move dish, could this be a firmware issue?/

              MAC : 00-18-BD-5D-20-0F
              MACHINE : *00-03-00-00-00-00-00-00

where would i get relavent F/W if its a clone??? or if i fell lucky if a real box where do i get the relevent F/W

only thing i understand in that info is the MAC address so any help explaining either would be great

                Guys,

Does anyone know the sequence to retrieve the chip id on a Skybox F3.. Ever since the firmware has been updated it seems to be a bit mysterious/harder to retrieve chip ids and not as straight forward as 8888..?
