somebody can help with a dead box?

I bought an openbox s10 and after a lot of truble to make it work was enjoying it. Then while I was getting confidence and trying different firmware my box died: it was a clone. And it had a legitimate ID, therefore there are people out there who can modify the chip ID. Anyway I got a null cable and reanimator but after connecting to the box but I am stuck at

    IOpen Serial Port..
    Sync to serial port..
Get Client protocol version & chunk
    Time out when read data!

Any tutorial or help cause the attached file is in polish I guess

    Hi

Ive just spent a few days on trying to fix one and finally gave up although people say you got to keep trying to get the timing right.

For me after trying different loaders I got cannot open serial port message.

I ust have connected disconnected over 50/60 times and have now given maybe will try again another day......... mine was butchered someone else before me so didnt know the history of the box.

Oh and use lappie or desktop with a dedicated serial port not one of them usb to serial adapters.

Try different loaders with the last known firmware on the box and hope you get lucky...... good luck.

    Regards

        Hi

Tried that but for me didnt work but possibly only cause of previous butchery of the box.

Would like to hear from op if it works for him.

        Regards

          if 2.0.0c doesn't work it's a basket case,assuming your cable/comport on pc is good.

Yeh comport on both lappie and desktop good, dedicated ports.

After giving up on the openbox revived a dream 500s stuck on green light via dreamup...... so com ports are good.

After that tried the openbox again and no good even soldered another serial com port to underside of mainboard to no avail.

So as you say if 2.0.0c doesnt work its a basket case........ I am convinced it is.

            Regards
