    Newbie with a bad start to DIY satellite set up!

    Hi, I'm a newbie to all this & I've had a terrible start! Firstly I waited 7 weeks for my motorised system to arrive only for the bracket to snap off at the weld in a gale & my dish bending in half, wasn't even up a week!! A DM800SE clone that wont power the lnb! So I've decided to start basic & installed a mini dish & got myself an Openbox S9 recommended by a friend! managed to get it all set up perfect so far, scanned & the channels are all over the place so hoping to sort it all out with help from here, I've had a quick look around & looks like there's plenty information & many that know a lot more than me. Great site

      Sorry to hear you having a lot of probs, if you post in dreambox section maybe someone can help you out why your box dont power the lnb.

      As for the openbox there are plenty of good channel lists around at the moment, maybe you want to try mine thats in the stickies.

          most of ur channel are scrambled,got any softcam or constant for it?its 28?E? tq

                  I've got everything running perfect now on the S9 & sorted all the channels out. Just can't figure out what the problem is on the DM800SE I've tried getting help from a few forums but no luck, could be PSU, Tuner or components on the board needing replaced & this is all 'out of the box' after buying it, never worked! Which sucks after paying close to ?200 for it. Didn't realise it was a clone when I bought it as I'm new to all this! , Only genuine boxes for me from now on! Thanks anyway guys.
