S10 Openbox some HD channels not displaying

Guys,

Advice please, my s10 OPenbox works, showing all channels at my house.

However my mates house, some HD channels work and some HD Sport channels work?

why is this?

My mate has all channels working, on his sky box, but when connected to my S10, he only gets some channels working with No Signal.

Hi

Some openboxes dont like being connected to quad lnbs, at yours is that your only box connected to dish.

If thats the case tell your mate to disconnect his sky box then try. Someone will correct me if im wrong but if thats the case think he may have to change lnb but not sure.

Im sure I read somewhere there is a way to overcome either by change of lnb or some other workaround cant remember at minute.

The openbox is set up differently to a Skybox. On the OB you have a choice of either using Astra 28.2 East or Eurobird 28.5 East or both.

I found using 28.2 East produced the same symptoms described here and set up 28.5 instead with everything working perfectly. You could set both up and use the good channels from one and the good channels from the other but then you are left with the rather irritating "moving dish" scenario everytime you swap between them. Hell for setting up your favorites too.

I suspect your mate's LNB Skew is set up for one and yours may be set up for the other.
