S10 OpenBox Clone Killed!

Hello everyone, I purchased a a s10 openbox In Canada (online) I have MAC and Chip ID all zero. The box boots but I am unable to make it work with a Disiq 1.2 motor!. My question did I buy a clone, and two can a s9 firmware installation kill my receiver?

s10 will show those symptoms with old firmware installed.
I would try loading newer firmware and see what happens.
Diseqc1.2 works better with a standard ku linear lnb vs. universal lnb.
check that info screen for firmware rev/date
