skybox s9 vs openbox s9

Which the principal differences between skybox and openbox?
The firmware are the same ones or the skybox it is a clone of the openbox and therefore it cannot use the same firmware.

I have a skybox s9 and it liked of of doing the update of the firmware, but I don't know if I can use the one of the openbox s9

It depends where you buy them because they are made by the same folks, just rebrand the receivers for different markets. In the US they sell it as Openbox, in Europe is called Skybox, but you can find clones and originals of both of them.
