No signal on multi lnb

Hi everyone
I have been merrily using my S11 for a few months now pointed at 28e.
Had the bright idea of sticking a couple more lnb's on the dish and put a diseqc switch in. My problem is I have managed to scan and find what looks like 16e (canal+ etc) but the signal strength stays at 45% and signal quality 10% and none of the channels are clearing.
Do you think its just a matter of tweaking the dish a bit to get a stronger signal? Ive read about sloping amps etc but cant see it being that as it worked fine before.
Another question I have is do I need to play around with the port settings in the antenna set up so the diseqc switch can do its business? Its took me six hours up and down the ladder to get this far and its now doing my head in! Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure about the s11 but on my dreambox u must have the correct satellite in the correct port or you won't scan anything in, try changing 16e to another port in your box menu and see if it picks anything up.

Do you think it has anything to do with the fact I had to put a direct feed into the lnb to scan and not via the diseqc switch? I did this because I wasnt getting any power to my sat meter.
