openbox s11 dead, sligh ticking noise from inside?

help my openbox is now dead and i can hear a ticking noise inside it like a old fashioned tick tock watch although very quite, any ideas folk, i think it could be the power supply board, anyone know any power supply sellers ?/

open box and look for capacitor caps on power board side if the tops are black and raised they are at fault,change for same values and box should power up again

thanks so what does the capacitor look like pal and where abouts on the power board is it what colour or description is it, thanks for the help by the way , i have 2 boxes less than 1 month old with the exact same issue.

Dude, describe the problem first, any LED's symols or indicators appear on the display wjen you switch on? The ticking noise isnt capacitor but more likely a relay (possibly on the power board if you see no display).

no the box is totaly dead no display or anything, if the box is switched on at the back i can hear a ticking noise like a heart pulse but very quiet , iv noticed if i swich the box off at the back the ticking will gradualy slow down then stop in around 6 seconds

send them back to the seller. Where you get them from as it might be a good idea for anyone else looking for to keep away from your supplier.

sat receivers don't have relays.
bad power supply.
