thanks alot much appreciated someone has quoted my parents ?240 to supply and fit openbox s10. i have found the boxes for ?69.99 do you think this is a rip-offf??

fit what ? just an openbox? or openbox and dish? what dish type?

no dish mate thats just the openbox so you can recieve sports channels an then 100 pound a year after that. i was socked but i dont know much about this i think hes just a conman thats y i want to fix it up myself.

to plonk an openbox in a living room and supply sly? hes basically asking ?180 for the first yr of sly tv tell him to do one mate.. buy a box, come back here, we'll talk you through setting it up for your folks.. and someone may be even kind enough to help with the channels it certainly wouldnt be ?180 over 12 months tho

ok thanks mate i have looked through the openbox guide and downloaded the relevant documents needed im ok with most of it apart from setting it up with the Cccam. do i have to subscribe with someone online to recieve these channels? sorry to be a pain mate.

heres a round figure what it should cost you if you decide you like to setup yourself.

receiver - ?75/90 delivered (openbox s11, s12)
cline 12 month subscription - 100euros = ?85per year

total = ?160
you may be able to get box cheaper from china, but bare in mind customs tax
also if you decide to go down self setup route, dont buy 12 month sub all at once. you may get a provider whose system is overcrowded and continuously freeze up. first sign up to 1 month, then 3 month then consider 6/12 month sub, however note getting a month by month basis sub will cost you around 15 euros.

i think a fare price would be ?180-200 to get it installed by him, he most likely bought the receivers from china in bulk order, and also has a good relationship with cline provider. it gives him a fare profit to make it worthwhile.

we can help you setup for cheaper, but we cant talk about how to get clines/channel sub, its completely prohibited, thats the only issue. try gumtree, theres a few sellers on there, call them, they may be able to give you a cheaper price.

i was going to buy it from the shop facing mine its called satandcable mate i think there a big shop. i have just told my parents to pay the man the 240 i guess he is making a 50 profit himself but he should know what he is doing . just hope the servers stay on for the 12 month subscription he is offering :-0
