S11 Motor Issue

Hi Chaps,

I've just received an Openbox S11 after reading reviews etc. Its my first box and I'm attempting a motorised setup. I've got the motor (TM2600) dish etc all mounted and perfectly level as per a guide I'm reading. When I've connected the S11 it cannot move the motor (reboots). I've subsequently read that this is a common issue and its relating to the power supply's in the S11 (not all are affected - Typical).

Question is - If I can exchange it, do all other openboxes suffer from the same issues? Does anyone have an Openbox working correctly with a TM2600 motor?

Should work OK.

I use USALS fine on my S10 to drive mine.

If you are trying to use Diseqc then it may be a different kettle of fish altogether.

Hi mate i too had this same problem with s11 and tm2600 motor and found out the tm2600 isn't compatable with the s11 so i swapped the s11 with a friend for his s9 and it worked so i can confirm that the s9 works fine on Diseq or USALS with the tm2600 motor, i also read the s10 works too although not tried the s10 myself.
Seems the s11 is the only one that doesn't, though i don't understand how because the s11 is supposed too be made with the same parts (tuner etc) as the s10 but its only the s11 people are having this problem with. But as you say its only certain s11's so maybe we just got dodgy ones, though mine did have a genuine chip id.

had S9 S10 and S11, only S9 worked on my technomate motor. A friend has old darkmotor which I thought was compatible but only S9 worked on his system too. Love these boxes as they are cheap and you can create a good channel fav list but not impressed with motor issues. All said they are cheap so you get what you pay for in this case, just my opinion, not necessarily correct for everyone but just my findings.
Perhaps newer darkmotors are compatible
