Just updated my channel list to the latest 30/09/12 channel list. I appear to be getting Audio Description in S*y Comedy and Action HD Channels.

This is on an S12 box. Any idea how I switch this off?

Press the audio button on the remote and it will give the different options you can choose from

Thanks but I tried this. I get two options, both of which leave me with audio description on. Anyone else having this issue? Any work around?

Quick Question...

Hi, I have a skybox F3 with a preloaded gift, can't find some channels and would like to update the channel list. But I'm worried I might wipe the gift as the seller didn?t give me any password. I?m relatively new and therefore would like to know if this process simply updates the channel list only and thus keeping my current subscription intact?
Also, can I apply it to a Sky Box F3 without any difficulty?

I use an S12 box, and had the same concern as yourself. I took the plunge and updated the channel list, and have done several times since. All this without disrupting the pre-loaded settings. settings.

Like yourself I'm a noob at all this, I can only comment on my own experience on S12. Not sure if the same would apply to F3.

Thanks for your input, i suppose it should be the same. My brothers into cricket and if i also take the plunge and it goes pear shaped, could mean no sports and a whole new problem all together... (BIG brother)

Thanks, seems like i can at best only mess up the channel list. how exactly did you backup the channel list?
Also, did you ever resolve your Audio Stream issue?

I never got a response on that query, but I did the following which I think created a back-up.

With a USB stick installed:

Menu > Tools > Dump by USB > Change Dump Mode to "Misc File" > click on "Select and Dump" > select "TP_PROG.dbs" so it has a tick next to it > Then press yellow to Dump onto USB.

A File called TP_PROG.dbs will now be on your USB stick. I assume this is an image of your current channel set-up, so save this somewhere safe.

Once I updated the channel list (The Fav categories have to be named manually).

I did have a sound issue. So I did a channel scan afterwards and no longer seem to have the Audio Description issue. Not sure if this is resolved, but I will monitor the issue.

just a tip

you can backup all preloaded gifts by saving cccam.cfg to your usb (dump function)
