Hi in order to apply any channel updates do i have to flash the file again? If yes would i have to rename all the favourites again? (sorry for the noob questions)

1. yes. 2. Not if your old channel list was AJs.

Hey guys, im completley new to this, and i apologise if i say something im not meant to have:

I have recently obtained a skybox F3 with a 12 month 'gift'..... all the channels are a mess, and do not flow with loads of repeats

Reading through this thread, its sounds as if AJ has sorted a pretty sweet set up with the channels

My only concern is, if i remove the channels and do this what are the chances that ill loose the 'gift' and all the channels?

also on a side note, has AJ arranged all the asian channels?

and is there a way of getting a better EPG? i only have the next programme and would like to know whats on later in the day?

A good place to start as a newbie is the Introduction section, if you load the list it just over writes your current one and yes all you will get from the Skybox is now and next EPG.

As for the asian channels load the list and see what they are like, if you dont like them then do your own list

Hey i installed AJ's channel list, however after like 30 minutes of watching allot of the channels state: scrambling... had to revert back to the original... i really liked the layout of AJ, is there something I'm doing wrong? do i need to do something else? some channels like BBC HD and BBC 2 HD always say scramble, while others like universal, watch seem to be working fine then 20 minutes later when i go back to these channels, same problem of scrambling

Mate, AJ's list has nothing to do with your channels scrambling after around 30 mins.
You need to speak to your supplier about this.
The channels working for the time your receiving picture shows the channel list is fine, it is your service provider you need to check with.
I use AJ's list on 4 F5 boxes and 1 F3, all without any issues.

Thats because as a new member you need to read the rules say hello in the introduce me section and then wait 15 mins before you have the privilege to download from this great forum.
Try that and you can download and enjoy and maybe help a fellow member.

Just unboxed a skybox f3 and want to get it up and running asap.

is there any need to update the factory set firmware?

hopefully i can dl aj's channel list and i'll be up and running.
