Hi, I have worked with quite a few of these boxes over the last 18months or so and this is what I have found. The channel list updates are fantastic, so firstly thanks to the guys who spend their time making them, much appreciated. These are only my opinions on what I have found when updating from USB, some may agree or disagree but when I have had a box brick up, I have always tried to find a reason why. The memory stick must be formatted to FAT32 not NTFS, I had a box stuck in load because the memory stick used was in NTFS. Use a decent quality stick, I have found sandisk products create less problems but that's just my opinion. Before updating, delete your current channel list, then reboot the box so that it shows NO CH. DO NOT try and power down the box by removing the power lead, use the red button on the remote and wall socket switch for complete power down. Remember that there is a small current running through your satellite coax if the dish has another connection to a powered up standard $ly box or other, switch off all other boxes connected to the dish you use when connecting or disconnecting your sat coax to your F3/F5. Just a few tips I have found over the last while that I have found eliminate problems, hope it helps someone.Hi all sorry for posting in this section........
It's just that the amount of post in the openbox section about boxes crashing after a channel update.........
Not sure if its user error on behalf of the box owner...or something to do with the channel list.....(believe me i'm not pointing any fingers)
It's just a fact it's happening....
My point is to Aj & sattv5 i have always used you channel list & never had a problem with them crashing the boxes i had ..(many thx lads for the work you do)
maybe the reason my old boxes never crashed is because i deleted the old channel list before updating to the new one...
Any thought's if this could be the problem members are having ????
or could you advise in your post's to tell members to delete the old channel list before updating
regards P & DComment

Tip on Sattv5 stickie to sort Favourite List.
"My Favourites are all wrong since I loaded your list how do i fix them ?
The way to get The favourites under the correct headings is to load the default Database:
On the remote select Menu > Factory Settings > Select Yes > Then Press Blue (Don't make any choices at the menu)
The screen will flash black and you will be back at the menu. If you check your favourites now they should all be in the correct orderComment

I have just noticed that loads of channels have been removed from the FTA favourites.
BBC1 HD, BBC2 HD, ITV HD, CH4 HD, & all the regional variants have been removed (so no channel 5 either).
Looking back through the channel lists, it occured with the 8/10/13 list. (I always use the one with SD).
Is it possible to put these back please?
Also MTV +1 audio is still incorrect.Comment

Yep. Already done that thanks.
Just thought I'd give AJ/sattv5 a little reminder.
