No need to scan any channels delete the old channels then load the TP_PROG.dbs on the box via usb
This is already a full channel list with favs made by Aj


Delete the old channel list then reboot the box
when the box restarts it will say NoCH on the front display
then load Aj's list TP_PROG.dbs
Then reboot the box

Then you have an up to date channel list on the box....

Just did that and now I'm back with my original problem with 'no signal' in blue in paid channels. I always get bt sports though and some +1 paid channels ie comedy central +1 but not comedy central. Very bizzare.

Are you getting BBc1/itv ....ect..........If yes & there ok
goto a $ channel that says no signal & look at the signal strength at the bottom & tell me what it is......

also goto Bt sports & what signal strength are you getting

Again go in to the menu......system info and look what firmware you are running it maybe out of date & needs updating

Yes I'm getting all FTA channels. BT sports signal is 55%.

If I delete all channel list and do a single search scan I get all $ channels. But as soon as I follow instructions to update Aj's list most of my $ channels show 'no signal' for some reason bt sports always remains.

Again go in to the menu......system info and look what firmware you are running it maybe out of date & needs updating

Hi i would leave at that then.......do a full blind scan so you have all the channels (if you do a blind scan NO need to add Aj's list) once you do the scan you already have the channel list up to date........

I would recommend getting the dish checked if you only get 55% even with the openboxes you should get round about 74%

Firmware is ok its the latest.....sorry my mistake there is a newer one http://www.skybox.cc/downinfo.asp?id=116

But if the box is work its ok with the old one..........but get the dish checked buddy

Thanks Phill. If it is my dish then how comes I get to view all $ channels if I delete Aj's list and then do a blind scan which is great.. But irritating thing is I don't have any channels on 'faviroutes' so I have to scroll through tons of channels to view a channel of my choice. When I update the dbs file I loose most of my $ channels with 'no signal'.. However I get many +1 $ channels.

BT sports signal 65% now.

Cheers maca never thought of that......if i remember right it should be set to universal (9750-10600)

Silly me i forgot to ask you......do you have the official S^Y box connect at the same time ??

if so unplug it from the wall
then check to see if you get the channels with a good signal
the official box interferes with the signal if both connected at the sametime

Might be wrong but if as maca says the lnb frequency is set wrong it will be ok for the blind scan....but i would guess Aj's list is set do the standard frequency
and your lnb settings is not correct to use his channel list........thats why when you load Aj's list you get the no signal

Not sure with the V8s.......but the old F boxes it was in the Antenna setup in the menu

Hi pal, what I can do is send a backup of my box (V6 box but uses the same backup as the V8) which has AJ's latest channel list. That should work. Drop me an PM with your email address.
