        gave up

I gave up after spending more on hardrives and external cases than I did on the receiver itself.
Most would record sd fine but burped on hd -especially tp's with a high sr rate.

Can you give me a channel to try as a 'worst case' example?.

I've been using a Verbatim 250gb (Mod 47562) with no problems on SD or HD that I can see, but I may not have recorded anything on the channels you had problems with.

I'll then give it a go and report back

afaik the ones that dont require a power pack to work are the 2.5" hard drives? so try getting a normal 3.5?

im just gonna buy a 32gig usb pen myself for 15ish quid and use that

I don't think you can get the sats I use as a torture test, other side of the pond.
