advise needed on setting up a motor on openbox s10

hi all im going to try set a motor up tomorrow evening on an openbox s10
ive mounted the pole etc on the side of the shed at ground level for a practice run as it will be easier than trying it at the top of the ladder for a first timer

ive the bar im mounting the motor on is level in all directions
have checked my longitude and latitude on google map and rounded them off to 53.1 latitude and 8 longitude
so on the motor im setting the bracket to 53.1 ish

then connecting the dish to it and connecting the cables up lnb to motor,,,, motor to receiver

where do i go after this as looking around theres all different ways for different boxes etc
reading around some are saying point it as south as possible others are saying start here there and everywhere
