    s11 CCcam

    Hi
New to this and trying to get there!!!

I am trying to get CCam on to s11 openbox going through the info from here, but when I try to dump CCcam.cfg to usb it goes through the motion but when I check it is empty. I have tried creating a txt file with the c line in and saving it to the route of the USB but the openbox will not load it.
Can anyone help me with any pointers please

Go to your notepad and enter the cline exactly as it was sent to you C&P if possible, save as, file name: CCcam.cfg save as type: all files save to usb

Then put usb into usb port on back of your box,Now goto Menu -> Network Local Settings and select CCcam Plug Setting and click the OK button

Now select Update Files by USB and click the OK button.

Now select CCcam, cfg [CCcam Plug] and click the OK button, you should then see a check mark or tick appear, indicating you have selected the file, if there is no tick shown, then you have not selected anything, and nothing will be installed.

If you're not normally seeing files extensions in Explorer, make sure you're not accidentally saving the CCcam.cfg file as CCcam.cfg.txt instead..

Are you saying your openbox wont write the CCcam.cfg to your USB device?

When its finished you should exit out and it will show saving changes. They wont be saved until exiting out.

If you pm me an email I will send you an empty .cfg file which you can open and edit with notepad.

One of the following maybe the cause.

                    1. File is set to open with notepad as the default. You may want to remove file association. It is messy but it may be worth trying first.

                    2. It may be because for host, username and password on the file are exactly the same as one that has been on the box before. So the box genuinely thinks it's the same account. I have no solution for this one yet. I have tried a factory reset and specified that only the .cfg should be erased and then tried it again but to no avail. The way to prove that it is definitely the second cause is to get something with a different username and password on the cfg file and try to read it. Your box will say new account found.

I would appreciate any help on the second cause because doing it manually ain't fun at all.
