which is the best openbox as gift for the parents

well i think my mind has been made up to keep my 800hd and maybe buy another but as the openbox keeps coming up, i would like to know a little more on these and what kind of reviews anyone may have. i would like to give my folks a dreambox but the extras that come with it are just a million leagues away from anything their used to (normal tv and basic knowledge of how to turn a computer on) and at a cost of a gift which has a lot they dont need. i have been reading quite a bit now on the openbox and read that the s10 is probably the best to get even though the s11 and s12 are out on shelves for less than ?60. I also read that the s11 and s12 are clones and the latter is not so stable when it comes down to performance. If openbox was more user friendly and stable to someone who knows very little about technology then which would it be this will be to make my mind up for final as its starting to confuse me before i get anywhere, the s10 s11 or s12, stability wise, which is best and which is the ultimate of the three.your thoughts would be appreciated and thanks for reading.

They dont need to understand technology to use an Openbox, but connection & config setup requires a bit of savvy, but once its running its straight forward..

Your parents might hate not having a proper EPG, the now & next epg dont allow you to see whats on later in the day.. They might also hate the channel listings being very basic..

If you're after a user friendly box that isnt going to make a user scream "eeekkkk, its nothing like our Sky+ box" then I think you'll want to spend a bit more on something like a Blade or Technomate..

Hi, the thing is, when i say the folks are behind the times, then i mean they have never had cable or sky and ok maybe a free trial when this stuff first came on the scene which is way back. they would be happy just trawling through the channels and i have a motorised dish sitting in the shed which would give them a little extra to play with. this would all be setup by me of course and its just a little something to say thanks. i dont really want to push the boat out and i have heard that an openbox is ideal for the person intended for. which one i dont really know but it would have to be between the s10/11 or s12 which i would like some feedback on the latter as i have heard some bad things about these. any advise is greatly taken onboard. thanks

depends on how much you like them.
        both the parents and/or openbox.
