Openbox s11 HD and motorised dish problems

    Hi

I have been having some issues with my openbox s11 hd and my motorised dish (80 cm).

A bit of background I had the dish and a different receiver about a year ago setup for me as part of a package, the reciver was a globalstar 1100. This worked pretty well but I started having issues locating satellites and the box crashed a few times after 12 months. The support on this receiver was poor so I decided to change it.

Then I bought a dm800 hd clone and initially had issues picking up astra1 and 2, only got hotbird and eurobird. Then box kept locking up and eventually would not even turn on. So the guy swapped this for an openbox s11 hd and set it up yesterday on USALS.

Problem is whenever the dish moves from one sat to another the box re-boots, we tried Diseqc and again same issue. Pointing to one dish and it works fine.

The guy said the motorised dish is causing issue. He said I could get this replaced as option one or option two would be to add LNBs to the dish to pick up the main satellites that i use. The dish is chimney mounted so quite high so the LNB option is dependent on him getting access to long ladders.

Wanted some advice on what I should do please - should I give up on this dish and what option should I look at

    Thanks

    I've got the same problem.

Looks like the box power out to the motor is too low.

You will need a power inserter or a different box.
People say the s9 is working perfect with the motor.

it was just something i read on another forum mate, nover tried it... beeb 1hd is on a verticle transponder, as is itv1.. press info and 3 times on any channel and it will say the transponder... in the middle of all the numers it will have /h/ or /v/ go to one that has a /v/ and give it a try, dont forget to find one with a /v/ on foriegn channels too though.
